Danit said yes!
She called me to her this morning and told me that she thought the idea was a very good one. “I shouldn’t wonder if it will inspire others of our peers to begin cross-training with many different disciplines—Gathers with Healers, perhaps, and Muses with Comforters. You may have begun something, Asa’el, that will change much in heaven.”
That is a heavy thought, but one filled with joy. It would be my honor to have started such a movement. Certainly I have learned much by working with Healers, Hearers, Scribes, and Guardians. Perhaps if we all learn to work together and teach one another, we could shorten the Long Fight considerably.
Danit says that she has to sort through my schedule a bit before Inca and I can be given a true joint charge. I still have my new charge, after all, with whom I will be meeting very soon, and I have made promises to a few of my juniors to help them in the coming weeks. But I will have the chance to join Inca soon, and in the meantime she and I have both been encouraged to keep one another informed of our work.
I am very excited to begin. It will be a wonderful thing to work with this sister of mine and to learn from her. I only hope that I, too, can help her as she has helped me.
