Most of my brothers and sisters are still in heaven, resting from the long toil of our day.  It was hard work, but such glorious work!  I have no words, and some things, I am told, should be left for our own kind alone.

I have gone back to the Garden because there are still momentous things happening in the lives of my charges.  This time, my focus was with Charlotte, with her private struggles, and I believe I have finally made a breakthrough.

For Valentine’s Day, Don took her out to dinner in a beautiful restaurant with views of the city.  He gave her flowers, chocolates, and a pair of ruby earrings, telling her that she had brightened his life.  All of this warmed her heart, and yet none of it touched on her deeper sorrow.  I managed to make that clear to Don on that night, and I also made clear to him that words would not suffice for this trouble.  He has been planning ever since to help her.  I am doing what I can to guide him, but I admit he doesn’t need much help.  He has become far wiser in matters of the heart than he was just last year.

I will be certain to inform you when his plans have been acted out.  I will be glad when they have—as much as I love my work, it will be good to have some stability for my people again.
